Privacy policy
Last updated: 14 October 2026
This policy explains what personal information Skip Hire Birmingham collects when you use this website or call one of the numbers listed on it, and how that information is used.
Who we are
Skip Hire Birmingham is the data controller for the information described here.
For any privacy question, call +441213870645.
What this website collects
This website has no forms, accounts, analytics, advertising trackers or cookies. You can read every page without giving us any personal information.
Like all websites, our hosting provider automatically records technical request data (IP address, browser type, the page requested and the time) in server logs. These logs are used only to keep the website secure and working, and are kept only for the limited period set by our hosting provider.
Information you give us by phone
When you call, we may ask for your name, phone number, the delivery address or postcode, a description of the waste, your preferred dates, the proposed skip position and, if you book, payment and invoicing details.
How we use it, and our lawful basis
- To give you a quote and arrange, deliver and collect your skip (to take steps before entering into a contract with you, and to perform that contract).
- To keep waste transfer notes and other duty-of-care records required by law (legal obligation).
- To apply for a skip permit from Birmingham City Council when the skip needs to stand on a public road (performing our contract and meeting legal requirements).
- To keep accounting records and deal with questions or complaints (legal obligation and our legitimate interest in running the business).
Who we share it with
We only share what is needed with: the team or operator delivering your skip; Birmingham City Council for permit applications; payment providers; our accountants and professional advisers; and authorities where the law requires it. We do not sell your information or use it for marketing without your consent.
How long we keep it
- Enquiries that do not lead to a booking: only as long as needed to answer your enquiry and follow up on any quote.
- Waste transfer notes: at least two years, as required by the waste duty of care.
- Accounting and invoice records: six years, to meet tax requirements.
Your rights
You can ask to see the personal information we hold about you, and ask us to correct it, delete it, restrict or object to its use, or transfer it. Contact us using the details above. We will reply within one month.
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.
